Window Washer Injured When Thrown From Bucket

Window washer injured when thrown from raised bucket: A 10News crew on scene of a window washing accident in Dandridge has learned that a man was injured after he was thrown from a raised bucket Saturday morning. The man was flown to the hospital for treatment.

Previous story:  (WBIR-Dandridge) Jefferson County dispatchers tell 10News a forklift operator was flown to the hospital after the machine he was working in flipped off a retaining wall throwing him approximately 60 feet. Dispatchers say the accident happened on Scenic Shores Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Few details are known at this time. 10News has a crew en route.

Editor's note: It was previously reported that the injured man was in a forklift.  It is now known the man was washing windows in a raised bucket.  The first report was based on information given to us at the time. We regret any confusion.

Man seriously injured after window washing accident (DANDRIDGE, Tenn.)  A Knoxville man was seriously injured Saturday morning after falling more than 50 feet from a crane, according to Jefferson Co. authorities. Sheriff Bud McCoig told Local 8 News the man was washing the windows of a brand new home in Dandridge subdivision when the accident happened. McCoig said he had to be flown to UT Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
