Window Washer Fall In Arlington


Window Washer Falls onto Sidewalk: A window washer is clinging to life after plummeting about 7 stories onto the sidewalk while working on a Rosslyn office building. The incident was detailed in this week’s Arlington County crime report, although it’s not being investigated as a crime. Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said investigators believe the victim forgot to clip in his safety harness. He stepped over an edge, fell, and landed on the sidewalk near the entrance to the offices of WJLA (ABC 7).


Worker injured after falling from roof to sidewalk in Arlington: A 35-year-old man suffered significant injures when he fell several stories to the ground off of a Rosslyn building, police say. Arlington County Police officials say a worker fell about three stories to the ground from the roof of a walkway that connects two buildings on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington. Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said the worker was not clipped into a harness when he fell. The ABC 7 newsroom is housed in the building from which the worker fell. The victim's attempt to grab a rope to keep from falling failed, Sternbeck said. Police say the man was taken to George Washington Hospital with significant internal injuries.
 

Two window washers in Critical condition after a long fall: Boca Raton, Fl -- According to a police spokesperson, two window washers are in critical condition after they slipped and fell three stories to the ground. CBS12 has learned the two men were working on an elevated platform in the 4800 block of Conference Way South. Officials say something spilled causing both men to trip and fall. Window Washers Fall From 3 Stories Up: Investigators say a piece of scaffolding hit the workers, causing them to fall. Two window washers were rushed to the hospital after falling three floors from a building in Boca Raton. Boca Raton Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene at 4800 Conference Way South where two men, both in their 30s, fell approximately 35 to 40 feet to the ground. A piece of scaffolding hit them causing them to fall, according to fire rescue officials. One man was unconscious when crews arrived, and the other suffered a head injury. Both were taken to Delray Medical Center as trauma patients.
