Window washer basket dangling from building in Midtown Manhattan — A window washer basket was seen dangling off a building near the United Nations. The washer basket was attached to a residential building located at 866 United Nations Plaza on 48th Street and First Avenue. The basket has been stabilized and evened out. Police have closed off part of First Avenue that caused major delays heading northbound on 42nd Street. It’s unknown if there was anyone in the basket.
