Could HeatShot Help Window Cleaners?

Heat Shot is a proven performer in some of the world’s most extreme conditions. The design of our heated washer system is unique. When something is this effective, affordable and easy to incorporate or retrofit, it’s no wonder it’s protected by a world-wide patent.

Heat Shot’s window of opportunity with Mercedes-Benz deal: A Yorkshire company behind a revolutionary new product for cleaning and de-icing car windscreens, has signed a “significant and ground-breaking” deal with Mercedes-Benz. Heat Shot, based in Hunslet, Leeds, has signed an exclusive distribution deal which will see the company supply the whole of Mercedes Benz’s Daimler bus fleet.

Heat Shot directors Nick Wells, Mark Nelson and Kirk Allan.
Kirk Allan, managing director of Heat Shot, said it was the most significant contract the company had signed since its foundation two years ago. “For our first two years, we have invested heavily in research and development to ensure that our product is not just the market leader, but is also unique. “Now we are reaping the benefits. This new deal means that our product will be fitted as an option into Mercedes-Benz buses at their manufacturing depot in Mannheim, Germany. This is a massive result for us.”

The company’s Heat Shot Unit is a solution for quickly clearing and cleaning ice and snow, bugs, bird droppings, road oil and more from windscreens. Installed between the windshield washer fluid tank and the exterior spray nozzles, it heats and delivers hot wiper fluid on demand to the windscreen via the vehicle’s factory-installed washer system. Mr Allan said: “We are confident that other global motor vehicle manufacturers will follow the lead of Mercedes-Benz.” Andy Greenway, area sales manager Mercedes-Benz Bus Sales, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers this factory fitted option.”

Heatshot frees stuck wipers and keeps the rubber softer for greater effectiveness (and longer life). Cleans windscreen, clears ice buildup, and unblocks nozzles. Operates at the touch of a button. Heatshot only heats the precise amount of fluid that is needed, on demand. Heatshot does not draw power from the engine’s heating system or radiator hoses.
