Height-Wise & Savvy Wise Window Cleaners

Height-Wise is an organisation dedicated to making the workplace safer, especially within trades and industries where working at height is common practice such as window cleaners, painters, satelite installers, roofers and builders. Height-Wise aims to benefit contractors and their clients alike, by raising standards, improving work practices, ensuring its members are adequately insured and always aware of the health and safety challenges that face them.

It is the aim of Height-Wise to:

•      Promote improved working practices and conditions for all contractors.
•      To promote professional conduct by our members at all times.
•      To ensure that our members are adequately insured for your protection.
•      To help customers make a better choice when choosing a contractor.
•      To promote higher standards of health and safety.
•      To provide information and help to contractors.
•      To furnish new and up to date working methods to our members.
•      To highlight the need for contractors to adapt to economic and architectural challenges.

Nat Jones of the Master Guild of Window Cleaners, says: "Height-Wise is a personal project of mine that I've been working on for a while." "It'll be similar to the Guild but it will be open to all trades that work at height, not just window cleaners." "Although one of the main aims of this project is to minimise ladder use, I do believe that traditional cleaners could still become members if they really think hard about their "Ladder Minimisation Policy" document." "I'd hope that encouraging all to have a serious think about their ladder use might help avoid some potential accidents in the future."
Members will get 3 vehicle decals, a member CD with the logo images, stationary pack & safety documents on, and an official membership certificate,.. as well as some great online advertising. If you're already in the Guild, Height-Wise membership is discounted by £10. Standard member rates are £35 per annum for a standard membership, or £55 per annum for an enhanced listing.

To qualify for membership you must have:
  • Public Liability insurance (If available in your country).
  • A current valid license if window cleaning in Scotland.
  • A company "Ladder Minimisation Policy", signed and dated within the last 12 months.
The website will be launched in a week or so,.. and there will be a discount for anyone who signs up on the very first day.
