Window Washer Business Idol & Another UK Fall



Window-washing company wins Business Idol competition: The winner of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce's third annual Business Idol competition was A Sparkling View/DirtyBlinds a window-washing/blinds- cleaning company based in Warwick. Window cleaner in hospital after fall: A 45-year old Alvechurch man was airlifted to hospital after suffering multiple injuries when he fell while cleaning windows. The incident happened at a property in Slater Road, Bentley Heath, near Solihull at around 6.30pm last night. A rapid response vehicle along with two community first responders and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man was cleaning first floor windows when it appears he fell approximately 20 feet onto concrete. “The man was initially unconscious, but gradually came round as he was treated by ambulance staff. "He had suffered potentially serious chest, back and head injuries. He was immobilised before being airlifted to the Regional Trauma Centre at Selly Oak Hospital where medics were on standby for his arrival.
“The paramedic on the rapid response vehicle said that the incident had gone extremely well. The aircraft was able to land in the park just behind the house.”

Window cleaner treated after fall: A window cleaner who apparently fell about 20ft onto concrete has been airlifted to hospital. The 45-year-old, from Alvechurch, Birmingham, was cleaning first-floor windows at a property in Bentley Heath, Solihull, on Monday evening. The man, who was initially unconscious, suffered potentially serious chest, back and head injuries, the ambulance service said. He was taken to Selly Oak Hospital after the incident in Slater Road.
