Going to the Top with Pole-Cleaning

A SCARBOROUGH window cleaning service is aiming high with a hi-tech device. S.C.M. Window Cleaning Services is using the water-fed pole system, which allows them to clean windows to heights of more than 65ft from the ground. The system uses pure water pumped through carbon fibre telescopic poles which can absorb all dirt, chemicals and minerals. Window cleaner Garry Robshaw, whose wife Samantha owns the company, said: "We have cleaned at 75ft which is about eight floors. "Normally we are restricted to only a couple of floors with ladders because of health and safety issues. We can work freely from the ground floor without any worry of falling off any ladders.Mr Robshaw, 38, of Milton Avenue, added: "With the pole system we can get to windows that your traditional window cleaner couldn't get to because of conservatories, garages or things that are in the way. "We carry around five different sizes of poles and we only use light weight carbon ones. It does make it easier and faster. We can clean the frames at the same time as the glass."I've been using it for more than four years and it's now fast becoming the industry standard of window cleaning."S.C.M. Window Cleaning Services has been running for more than two years and provides traditional window cleaning as well.
