Florida Window Washer Fall


Window washer falls 40 feet at Sarasota Bay Club: Sarasota - A window washer was injured Monday after he fell from nearly 40 feet up at a Sarasota retirement community. It happened after 2pm Monday. Fire officials say the man in his mid-40's was washing windows when he fell four stories.  He was conscious when rescue workers got there, but was complaining that he didn't have feeling in his legs. The man was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg from the nearby 10th Street Boat Ramp. His name and condition haven't been released. No word yet on what caused the worker to fall.


Window washer falls 35 feet: SARASOTA - A window washer fell from the fourth floor of a tower at Sarasota Bay Club at about 2:15 p.m. Monday, the Sarasota Fire Department said. The 45-year-old man remained conscious after the 35-foot fall from Tower 1 at the club, 1301 N. Tamiami Trail, but complained to emergency responders that he could not feel his legs, fire officials said. He was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg; his name and condition were not immediately released.
