Window cleaner falls to his death in Dubai - The Filipino worker had only been three months in the UAE. A Filipino window cleaner fell to his death from a Dubai skyscraper in Business Bay on Sunday afternoon. According to a report in '7Days', Raymond Manzanero, 23, died while working at Citadel Tower. He has been in the UAE for just three months, said his employer - Liverpool Cleaning Services in Dubai. A representative from the building said the incident happened about 12.30pm. The fall was captured on CCTV installed at the building. “We have slightly unclear images of the man falling down. A man standing on the first floor was seen lifting his hands to catch the cleaner as he was falling down,” he said. The employee said Manzanero died at the scene from injuries suffered when his head struck the ground. Manzanero had been working using a rope and was not on the cradle. It is not known whether he was using a safety harness when the incident happened, or exactly how he fell. “He has four sisters and one brother who live in the Philippines. He was not married,” the company said.

Raymond Manzareno, 23, was cleaning a window in the 42-floor Citadel Tower Building when he fell and died. Manzareno had only been working for 3 months in the Liverpool Cleaning Services. The accident occurred near 12 noon last Sunday. Though Manzareno fell from the first floor only, he hit the ground head first, causing his death. The Citadel Tower Building is located in the Business Bay. It was not clear if Manzareno was using a safety harness, according to the initial reports from his company. They are also not sure on the exact details of his fall. Manzareno’s remains were brought to the police station's morgue. His employer is trying to find a way to bring his body back to the Philippines.

Cleaning staff falls to death from 9th floor: Dubai - A Filipino fell to death from the ninth floor of a building in Bur Dubai area around midnight on Sunday. Raymond, 23, who worked for a cleaning company based in Al Qouz, was standing on a rope ladder hung from atop and held by another worker and cleaning the front glass panels of the tower. Due to the lack of coordination, the worker standing on the rooftop released the rope and the victim fell to death. The police sent the body to the General Department of Forensic Medicine for autopsy and took the other Asian worker into custody for interrogation.
