Would You Clean Windows In The Nude For $90 per hour?

An interview with the Nude Maids by Molly Evers and Lizbeth Wilson: One problem you might at some point have: wanting to enjoy the presence of a live, naked woman, but being embarrassed about the mess in your apartment. Luckily, there’s a new business designed to cater to just such a situation. The Nude Maids will not only clean your house, but they will do it, as the title suggests, in the nude. And you can even get lap dances while you wait for your fresh-mopped floors to dry. While centered in Dane County, The Nude Maids will also travel to Janesville and even Milwaukee Unfortunately, Dane101 does not have the financial resources to expense out a nude cleaning appointment from the Nude Maids. While we were disappointed about not being able to see the maids in action, we did interview a representative from the Dane County company.

Dane 101: How was Nude Maids started?

Nude Maids: I already had a cleaning company established and the girls that did the cleaning basically thought of it as potential extra income so we went with it. With the economy as it is, it seemed like a great idea. It wasn't too hard to start although the customer base is completely different than the "normal house cleaning jobs" where we are cleaning million dollar homes for families. We keep the two business names separate, though, for obvious reasons.

Dane 101: Please explain what happens during a cleaning session.

Nude Maids: It all depends on what the customer wants. Some people like to have bi-weekly cleaning done and are willing to pay extra just to be able to watch. In this scenario, the guys or girls actually clean the house just as they would for any other house cleaning job, except for being nude. We take care of the vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, etc, and we sometimes do laundry or other maid services like dishes (especially for the college guys).

Dane101: What precautions does Nude Maids take to ensure the maids are safe while cleaning?

Nude Maids: For a first time customer, we will have a driver sit in the car to ensure that the maid is safe or if it is a late night maid service which sometimes does happen, then there is always a driver. For our bi-weekly customers who like to have a different maid each time, we will allow the maid to go alone if he or she feels comfortable and we are comfortable as well with the customer. Our company verifies the customer with a credit card to also help us know who we are dealing with, and we will run a standard background check on them before sending a maid out. That is pretty standard for us to better ensure our maids’ safety.

Dane101: What are some of the most common chores maids are asked to perform?

Nude Maids: Vacuuming, dusting, dishes, and a lot of times, it seems that customers just like to talk. Our maids are all very social and enjoy good conversation, plus it helps with making both parties feel more comfortable.

Dane101: Describe the target client base for Nude Maids.

Nude Maids: There is not one target client that calls more than others except we do have a lot more men calling than women. The male maids usually clean for other men and the female maids also usually clean for other men ranging from college kids (usually a group) or men in their 30s and up. We were asked to serve drinks for an event where their would have been no nudity, just maid outfits, but at the time we didn't have enough girls (we are hiring!).

Dane101: Why does the Nude Maids not provide cleaning products?

Nude Maids: Some of our maids do not do cleaning as their main job, so it would be hard for us to supply everyone with everything that goes into cleaning a house. Our backpack vacuums that we use for our other cleaning business cost quite a bit and it just made sense to have the customer supply the materials needed for whatever chores they want done. This is more of an entertainment business, at the same time getting some of those unwanted chores taken care of.

Dane101: There appear to be no men available yet. Why?

Nude Maids: We do have men on hand (we had a malfunction on the site), but we haven't had a whole lot of work for them yet. We are trying to target other communities, for example the gay community, widowed / single women, etc. We are ready for more work once more people hear about us. Some of the maids we have on hand also do not want their pictures publicized online for privacy reasons.

Dane101: How does one become a nude maid?

Nude Maids: Starting pay can vary from $35 to $55 per hour plus tips. It all depends on how much experience they have and, this may sound bad, but looks play a large role in this business. They are not only maids but also models for your viewing pleasure. Having stripping or modeling experience does help because basically anyone can clean, but not everyone can make cleaning look sexy. We do background checks on every maid and they stay as an independent contractor. (The same as a stripper would do when they work from establishment to establishment).

Dane101: What sorts of special requests do maids get that they can actually fulfill?

Nude Maids: Lap dances, little shows, basically anything you would ask an escort to do, we can do. Although, we do have some maids that just do cleaning and those are questions that we ask the customer when they call or put a request through using email. We do not do any sexual favors, our maids are in no way prostitutes.

Dane101: Any fun anecdotes/weird things that have happened that you can tell us about?

Nude Maids: We actually have just as many requests during the day as we do at night, it just seems that the customers during the day are usually alone versus at night, it is usually a group. We have had customers actually mess up their place for our maids to clean to where it is obvious but we are more than happy to come entertain you whether your house is dirty or clean.

Dane101: Do the nude maids have fake names or use their real names?

Nude Maids: They use fake names. We keep everything as private as possible and we keep our customers information private as well. The credit card statement won’t even state our business name.

Rate info: $90 per hour, minimum 2 hour appointment, with an $80 per maid rate for multiple maids. Additionally, if the cleaning is scheduled after 10PM, there is an additional $20/hour charge.
