Flip Fast Quick Release Adjustable WFP Gooseneck Angle Adapter.

FlipFast: Introducing the new Flip Fast quick release adjustable gooseneck angle adapter. What Does It Do? Enables you to adjust the angle of your brush very quickly, simply, and accurately - by raising the cam lever to release the clamp, setting the brush angle, and lowering the cam lever to set the angle.

FlipFast Open
Lever in open position for easy adjustment.
FlipFast Closed
Lever locked in Closed position - ready for work.
How Will It Help Me? How many times have you struggled to get the best angle for cleaning a window? How many times have you thought to yourself "I could adjust the angle but it is too much effort"? Have you ever tried to loosen the adjusting knob - only to find that it is stuck and won't co-operate? Do you ever find that you have not tightened the knob sufficiently, only to find that as you start to put pressure on the brush it clicks round to a different, unhelpful position? Do you sometimes find it a fiddle adjusting the brush to give the sills an extra scrub?
If you have experienced any of these problems  - maybe you are ready for a FlipFast.

FlipFast Upgrade Kit (Click picture to enlarge): Now you can upgrade your existing angle adapter - with this simple upgrade kit. Each kit comes with fitting instructions, and we will shortly be adding a video to talk you through it. Kits are available in Silver, Blue, Red or Black.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR YOU TO DRILL PART WAY THROUGH ONE SIDE OF YOUR PLASTIC ANGLE ADAPTER (SEE PHOTO).

This is to provide a shoulder for the spring to fit on. We use a pillar drill to ensure accuracy of depth, and straightness - but if you have a steady hand, any drill could be used.

IT IS ESSENTIAL NOT TO DRILL ALL THE WAY THROUGH AS THIS WILL MAKE THE ACTION OF THE SPRING INEFFECTIVE.

If you do not have access to a drill - the upgrade kit can still be used, but you may not be able to fit the spring, and the washer that retains the spring. This would make the operation less smooth, and may result in faster wear of the teeth on your angle adapter - as one big advantage of the spring is that it holds the 2 sides of the adapter apart whilst adjusting. Please be aware the upgrade kit contains small parts - and should be kept away from small children and animals.
Fitting Instructions:
Kit Contents: Cam Lever, Saddle Washer, Spacer, Spring, Nylon Washer, Stainless Steel Locknut
Tools Required: Drill, 8mm Drill Bit.
Method
1.Strip down existing plastic angle adapter – discard bolt, nuts & Knurled knob
2.Take the plastic section that the brush will screw on to – place on workbench with the serrated teeth facing up.
3.Using 8mm drill – enlarge hole that the bolt passes through – by drilling PART WAY THROUGH – from the inside – towards the outside of the arm. Usually a depth of about 5mm is sufficient, but it is ESSENTIAL THE DRILL DOES NOT PASS ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
4.Slide the saddle washer onto the cam lever (curved edge towards the lever), followed by the spacer – larger face closest to the lever, and pass this assembly through the plastic section you have just drilled.
5.Slide the spring onto the shaft that is now inside of the plastic section. (The spring has one straightened winding that protrudes a few mm – this should be toward the threaded end of the assembly).
6.Slide the nylon washer onto the shaft, and then re-fit the other half of the plastic angle adapter.
7.Take the stainless steel locknut and screw this onto the thread that is protruding out of the adapter – once started – the nut can be wound onto the shaft by using the cam lever – but be careful not to over tighten. Moving the cam lever to the closed position, winding it in until the teeth on the angle adapter are fully engaged to achieve the basic setting.
8.Fine tuning – To increase, or decrease the tension on the lever – partially unwind the cam lever in the open position, until it is possible to squeeze the two halve of the angle adapter together – and rotate the stainless steel nut – by one sixth (one flat) of a turn – clockwise to increase tension, anti-clockwise to decrease tension, and then re-tighten the cam arm into it’s original position.  Repeat as necessary until your preferred tension is
achieved. Please note – the FlipFast requires very little tension to fully lock into position – as long as the teeth are fully engaged there will be no movement.
9.If further assistance is required – please see our website www.flipfast.co.uk , where video’s are available to
assist you.
